Patience is a virtue...

I had forgotten what it was like. The anticipation of getting everything ready, having the date in mind of when they were going to arrive, and the excitement of bringing the children into my home. When I hosted the first time, I remember making signs and posting them at certain places around the house (as N and Y did not speak ANY English and we did not speak ANY Ukrainian). I remember collecting items to help other families in the area - we had over 25 kids from two different orphanages in NW Indiana! I remember people sending clothes, toiletries, canvas bags and so much more. We made a welcome sign and prepared for their arrival. We were so EXCITED!

This was such an amazing time and seems such a long time ago! The boys, N and Y, seem so young (which they were). It is amazing to think that N is aging out of the system.

As I sit here and write this, we have learned that there is a possibility that the arrival date for the boys from the DR will be postponed. Apparently it is a very time consuming process to get the visas. So now.... we wait.
