Today is the day!
Today is the day! Today, José Manuel and Edwin, arrive in this US to come and spend the next five weeks with us. We are so excited! And while I have already met them in person, my boys have not. And so, all three of them, are asking to stay up so that they can meet them when they arrive!
They have had a long day of travel! They left the DR this morning around 5 AM CST. By the time they make it to my house, it will be after 10 PM CST. That is a long day! But they have been treated well and have been so excited!
We are preparing the bedroom for them! We do have a bedroom in the basement, but I want them to feel a part of us, so they will be sharing one of the other bedrooms. You may ask, well, where will my two youngest sleep? My response? Wherever. They rarely sleep in their room anyways LOL Even though my oldest has a loft bed, my two youngest often sleep on the floor in his room. They are thick as thieves.
I hope José Manuel and Edwin feel comfortable when they walk into their room. Elfie (our elf from the North Pole) brought all of us, including them, winter jammies. They have warm blankets with their names on them and some other little goodies.
As we anxiously await their arrival here at home, I want to thank all of you who have helped - those who have helped financially, by buying/donating clothing, helping me get things ready or keeping us in your thoughts and prayers. I could not do this alone! That being said, I am going to continue asking for help! Some continue to ask how they can help and here are some suggestions -
- Send gift cards for different restaurants. I want the boys to try different foods while we are here and it would be great to have some help!
- Movie tickets
- Financially - if you would like to donate financially (last four of my phone is x2993)

Some of Edwin's things he wants to do in life is go to Dubai (we won't be doing that this Christmas LOL) but he would like to see some scientific things (thanks to a family membership at the Museum of Science and Industry)! He would also like to see some animals so I am hoping to go to the Indianapolis Zoo.
José Manuel also really wants to go to a zoo! Thankfully he also wants to play in the snow! I don´t think we will have problems with that here in NW Indiana!
Thank you again for all of your help! Thank you for reading and I hope all of you have as wonderful of a holiday season as we will! I will continue to blog our journey so please stay tuned!
