Christmas has passed, on to the new year! What will it bring us?

This past week has been filled with a lot of happiness! For all of us! But... I am not going to lie, it has also been very challenging for me. There have been many times where I have felt that I am not enough, that I don't provide enough, that I don't have enough... While I know deep down this is not true, when comments are made that can lead one to these conclusions, it is hard, especially at this time of year to not take them to heart.

Let´s start with Christmas morning.... Santa came (and my DR boys were excited to say the least because Santa does not come to the DR). Lots of fun and lots of memories!

Bringing these children into my home has been an amazing experience, it has also brought some challenges. Some challenges less "challenging" like... holy heck, these boys eat A LOT! LOL Just wondering how will it be possible to truly fill all these boys. They have enjoyed and ate ALL the food that I have put in front of them. For the Christmas dinner at my sister's house, José Manuel, ate two full plates of food that had prime rib, cheesy potato casserole, bread, salad, corn casserole and more! By the time I had served all five boys, José Manuel was ready for his second serving! They really enjoyed our time there. They got to play basketball, ride on the razor and hang out with other kids their age.

After having some fun at the family Christmas, we were able to spend some time in Iowa with my mom and aunt. I spend quite a bit of time with them so it was great to be with them. While there, I took the boys to Fun Station and boy did they have fun!

I am going to continue asking for help! Some continue to ask how they can help and here are some suggestions -
  1. Send gift cards for different restaurants. I want the boys to try different foods while we are here and it would be great to have some help!
  2. Movie tickets
  3. Financially - if you would like to donate financially (last four of my phone is x2993)
