Last night I had the opportunity to take SIX boys (ages range from 16 down to 3) to Illumination at the Morton Arboretum! Was it a lot? Yep. Am I a bit out of my mind? Yep. BUT... was it worth it? ABSOLUTELY! The lights were beautiful. The children were able to see all different kinds of lights, hear music with the lights, have some hot chocolate and enjoy the time together.  

While it started off a bit rough (cold, a little windy, some kids crabby after the long day), as soon as we got in, the kids' attitudes changed! It was busy so we had to make sure we stayed together, BUT, all the kids helped! My littles were in the wagon and Winston helped a lot with pulling it (while I pushed). 

You may be wondering how I have SIX kids! No, I did not bring three from the DR LOL, although I know many would not be surprised if I did. Another family in the area also brought a child from the DR. I did not know this family prior to this experience, but it has been such an amazing blessing to get to meet and know this family! They have such big hearts! I am always in awe of big families and this family definitely wows me! Because of them, Winston is able to have a family for the holiday. Because of them and their decision to host, I have been fortunate to add them to my village. 

As we close on the first full week of the kids being here, things are starting to settle into a routine. I have been so fortunate to have this opportunity to bring these kids here. And I continue to be amazed by how many people have helped me. I will never forget how many people continue to be a blessing to us. Here is a quick video of our time at Illumination!

I am going to continue asking for help! Some continue to ask how they can help and here are some suggestions - 

1. Send gift cards for different restaurants. I want the boys to try different foods while we are here and it would be great to have some help!
