I saw this and knew that I needed to write about it. Here is my youngest son, Holden, as he fell asleep against José Manuel. This is love, trust and family all in one picture. Holden is too young to fully understand all the craziness that I do. He just sees mom bringing these two young men into our home for a short period of time. And while he has not always accepted them, he has grown to love them. How do I know this? Because of this picture. He is so comfortable with José Manuel that he laid his head against him and fell asleep. Can some kids sleep anywhere? Absolutely. But... Holden does not just fall asleep next to anyone. He definitely is only comfortable with his family.

He, more than anything, has shown me this today. He shows love, trust and what family means all in this one little act. And believe me, there are days and times when this one small act is not always seen. We have had our ups and downs. But it is these times that I have to remember to pause (and obviously take a picture LOL), take in this moment, love it, enjoy it and soak it in. These are the reasons I do this.
